Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28.06.2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the Tringelty platform (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects users’ personal data when using our website and services for organizing the acceptance of cashless tipping.
We process personal data in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU Regulation 2016/679).
1. Data Controller
The data controller of your personal data is the legal entity:
- Company Name: Tringelty s.r.o.
- Registration Number (IČO): 57461937
- Registered Office: Budatínska 3230/16A, 851 06 Bratislava – mestská časť Petržalka, Slovakia
- Contact E-mail: info@tringelty.com
2. Categories of Collected Data and Methods of Collection
We minimize the amount of collected data and request only what is necessary to provide the service.
A. Data you provide during registration
When creating a business account (for a restaurant, cafe, beauty salon, etc.), you voluntarily provide us with:
- First and last name (Name, Surname);
- Brand Name or establishment name;
- E-mail address (E-mail);
- Phone number (Phone);
- City;
- Password (stored exclusively in encrypted form using cryptographic hashing).
B. Automatically collected data and technical files (Cookies)
- Logging: We purposely do not collect or store your IP addresses, device data (User-Agent), or operating system in the background.
- Cookies: Our website uses cookies exclusively for technical (operational) purposes — to ensure the user’s authorization session in their personal account. We do not use marketing, tracking, or analytical cookies (such as Google Analytics, etc.).
3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Data Processing
According to Article 6 of the GDPR, the processing of your data is carried out on the following bases:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing is necessary to create an account, provide platform functionality for processing tips, and communicate with you.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Using your e-mail and phone number to send important system and service notifications (e.g., registration confirmation, password reset, critical changes to the service operation). These contacts are not used for sending marketing or promotional messages.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Confirmed by an explicit click (checking a box) during registration, whereby you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.
4. Data Recipients and Authorized Third Parties (Data Processors)
To ensure the technical operation of the platform, we engage reliable external services acting as Data Processors that guarantee information protection:
- Infrastructure and database hosting: Railway cloud platform (uses a secure PostgreSQL database).
- Sending system notifications: Resend service (used only for delivering service e-mails to your e-mail address).
- Payment processing and verification: Stripe international payment service.
Important note on payment data: Tringelty is completely isolated from your financial data. We do not collect, view, or store bank card or account data. All payment transactions, as well as KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures for withdrawal purposes, are performed directly on Stripe’s side in accordance with its own security standards (PCI-DSS).
5. Cross-Border Data Transfer
Some of our partners (e.g., Stripe, Resend) may have servers or headquarters outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the USA. Data transfer to such third countries is carried out exclusively if appropriate security safeguards exist under Article 46 of the GDPR, including:
- The existence of the Data Privacy Framework (between the EU and the US);
- The inclusion of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission in contracts with these providers.
6. Data Retention Period
We store your personal data for the entire duration of your Tringelty account’s activity. Upon receiving an account deletion request, the data will be completely and irreversibly deleted from the production PostgreSQL database within 30 days, except in cases where a longer retention period is prescribed by applicable law (e.g., financial or tax reporting requirements on the payment gateway side).
7. Data Subject Rights under the GDPR
You have a full range of rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You can request confirmation as to whether your data is being processed and obtain a copy of it.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You can change outdated or incorrect data in your profile at any time.
- Right to erasure / “Right to be forgotten” (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You can request a temporary suspension of the processing of your data.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You can request the export of your registration data in a structured, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, send an official request to our contact e-mail: info@tringelty.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for personal data protection in the Slovak Republic (Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic), if you believe that the processing of your data violates the GDPR.
8. Age Restrictions
Registration on the platform is technically available to users without restrictions, but the actual use of the service’s financial functions (accepting payments and withdrawing accumulated tips) is possible only after successful identity verification on Stripe’s side, whose terms require reaching full legal capacity and age of majority (18+ or the age according to Stripe’s rules for a specific jurisdiction).
9. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. In the event of material changes, we will inform you via a system e-mail through the Resend service or by posting a visible notice on the website’s homepage.
